TAURUS TCP 380

The Taurus TCP otherwise known as the Taurus Compact Pistol, which is one of the newest Taurus pistols aimed at the concealed carry market.

The Taurus TCP is a new innovation chambered in 380 ACP to compete with the largely popular Kel-Tec and Ruger 380 pistols. The Taurus PT-738 is the official model release, which is sure to be one of the most successful innovations of Taurus' own devices.

Like the other popular 380 pistols, the Taurus is made from polymers, and features a remarkably low profile, and designed to be double action only. The Taurus PT 738 is made to be a pocket pistol, so it features a heavier than normal trigger pull, which prevent accidental discharge. The Taurus 738 weighs around 10.2 ounces, and comes in a variety of finish options.

Unlike the Taurus pistols that many of us come to know the new line of Taurus TCP pistols are made in the USA, which has been a selling point for many who would have never considered Taurus otherwise. PSA BABY BROWNING COMPACT PISTOL 25ACP 6RD

Precision small arms, inc. Of aspen, colorado, announced today that it shall begin shipping its long awaited version of the baby browning "lightweight" 6.35 mm (.25 caliber) baby browning pistol during the fourth quarter 2009. Re-christened the "featherweight" by psa, the 7 ounce, single action, blow back pocket pistol will be milled entirely from 8620 steel and 7075 drop forged aluminum billet. Currently all psa models are machined from high grade steel investment castings.

KAHR P380

The overall length of this miniscule pistol is only 4.9 inches with a height of 3.9 inches, just 0.75 of an inch wide and weighs a scant 9.97 ounces empty, without the magazine.

The P380 (KP3833) joins 12 other Kahr pistols in their P-line of polymer frame handguns and this little gun, like all the others it has a one-piece grip frame with integral textured grips and serrations on the front and backstraps for a very secure hold. The slide is machined from solid 416 stainless steel bar stock that is matte finished to reduce reflections. It has a 2.5-inch match-grade Lothar Walther polygonal rifled barrel and unlike a lot of small .380's, has a locked-breech mechanism, allowing it to safely use the most powerful .380 ACP cartridges.

Similar to the other Kahr designs it has a DAO trigger and is striker fired with a passive striker block to prevent accidental discharges if the gun is dropped. There are no external safeties or magazine disconnect, so following the "KISS Principle" if you don't want the P380 to go off, don't pull the trigger. Cartridge capacity is 6 + 1 and the magazine is fashioned from stainless steel; two magazines are supplied with each pistol. The gun comes with a nice plastic carrying case, trigger lock, and owner's manual.

GLOCK GENERATION 4

• Initially Glock 17 (9mm) and Glock 22 (.40 S&W) will be available. Compact models will follow later in 2010.

RUGER SR9C

The SR9c compact pistol weighs in at 23.40 oz. and features an overall length of 6.85", a height of 4.61", and the same slim 1.27" grip width (across safety levers) as the full-sized SR9. It comes with two magazines that provide options in both capacity and grip size. The standard magazine holds 10 rounds and features a flat bottom butt plate; a finger grip extension floor plate is also included. The second magazine features a grip adapter and holds 17 rounds, instantly transforming the smaller, compact grip into a full-sized 9mm grip. The 3.50" barreled pistol features an integral accessory rail that accommodates most lights and lasers.

The SR9c compact pistol utilizes the same adjustable, high-visibility 3-Dot sight system as its full-sized predecessor, setting it apart from many compact pistols that rely on fixed sights. New serrations are located on the front portion of the slide, making it easier to both manipulate the slide and to press check the chamber. The SR9c is available with a glass-filled nylon frame and through-hardened slide in either a brushed stainless or blackened finish. State compliant variations are available where necessary and ship with two 10-round magazines.

Just like the original, full-sized SR9, the SR9c is loaded with modern safety features like a 1911-style ambidextrous manual safety,, plus a visual and tactile loaded chamber indicator.
